The
Seddon Group was established in 1897 by founders George and
John Seddon. The business grew rapidly, building a
unequalled reputation for quality and reliability. The
company was incorporated in 1920 as G & J Seddon and became
synonymous with quality construction and brickwork which was
the original trade of the founders.
During
the forties and fifties the companies activities broadened
and a branch office was opened in Stoke on Trent which
subsequently led to the formation of Seddons (Plant &
Engineers) Ltd to supply the construction, plant hire and
groundcare industries with quality equipment and after sales
facilities. |

Today, the company is
under the direction of the third and fourth generation of
the Seddon family and continues to offer the same high
standards of personal service on which its reputation was
originally founded over one hundred years ago.
With a turnover in excess
of £150 million and employing over 1200 staff nationwide,
the Seddon Group of companies is one of the UK's largest
privately-owned construction groups. |
